Aguas Blancas Water Collection Center. Visible Leadership And Empowerment
There are communities that only need a "little push" to reach their full potential. This is the case of Aguas Blancas, a town with motivated, enterprising, and organized people who work every day to improve their quality of life.
An exemplary leader in this community is Commissioner Elizabeth Ríos, as all of her efforts have been directed toward the progress of the community and involving the residents of Aguas Blancas in all the processes. We highlight some of her contributions, such as supporting the preparation of the site for the installation of the new water treatment equipment, hiring a plumber to make the necessary modifications, and directing, informing, and requesting the community’s participation and support during the installation process.
Undoubtedly, this installation would not have been possible without the empowerment and strong leadership of the Comisaria. It is also important to note that the process of modifying the site where the water treatment plant was installed required many hours of work, with many people involved—loading, moving, removing, and working from early hours of the day.
All the effort was worth it, and it was a pleasure for the Water Saves Lives team to reach this place because the people's genuine interest was clear from the very first moment. We hope this enthusiasm and commitment will remain strong for a long time to ensure the successful maintenance of this donation and the responsibility that comes with it. For now, we are left with Elizabeth's sincere words:
"We are in the process of installation and we thank you for this great support, which will be very useful for our community. Thank you so much...".
