Las Lomitas Police Station. Hard Work For A Promising Future
The town of Las Lomitas is a place where people go out to work in the fields from very early in the morning, as soon as the sun rises, the inhabitants are already hard at work, a place without a doubt of hard-working people willing to make the necessary improvements for their town to progress.
The donation of this equipment was thanks to the collaboration of the Castillo family and organizations such as the Universidad Campesina del Sur, Guerrero es Primero, Banco de Alimentos de México, Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía, Centro Nacional de Apoyo para Contingencias Epidemiológicas y Desastres, Unidos Por Ellos and Fundación Walmart México, with whom we are immensely grateful, because they gave us all their trust to carry out an excellent job.
The happy inhabitants supported the Water Saves Lives team in making all the necessary modifications so that the water could reach the water treatment plant, they got down to work and organized themselves to make the previously non-existent connection a reality and thus the water treatment plant could function correctly.
It was explained to them how to use it and how to take care of it, as it undoubtedly becomes a resource belonging to and for the community, the inhabitants are responsible for their own water treatment equipment, of course there is technical support if any situation arises, but we are looking for the empowerment and self-sufficiency of the community so that the donation is a success.
We want the impact to be lasting and not just temporary, the inhabitants also agree with this and expressed their constant gratitude, in this regard, Salustio Bernal, a member of the community, pleasantly expressed.
"Thanks to all the foundations that are supporting us, let's hope that everything works very well, we will take care of it, it will be a great help for the town".
Water Saves Lives hopes that with the arrival of this team to the community, the sense of belonging will continue to grow and a united group will continue to be maintained whose purpose is to care for and support each other for the common good.
Finally, we would like to give special thanks to Marco Antonio Jaramillo and Adriana Paz, members of UNICAM, who accompanied us throughout the community process so that logistically everything worked as smoothly as possible.
