Providence Police Station. A Vital Change

The donation of a water treatment plant not only addresses an immediate need, but also has long-term implications for the health and well-being of the inhabitants. The installation of the equipment in a community space such as the village Commissariat provides a reliable source of water for the villagers, in fact, there are 4 points that Water Saves Lives considers important in each installation:

1. Improved Community Health: access to clean water significantly reduces the risk of gastrointestinal illnesses and other water-related infections. In communities where outbreaks of diarrhea and other diseases are common due to lack of clean water, the donation of a water treatment plant can be a dramatic change in quality of life.
2. Economic Savings: Investing in water purification equipment can reduce the costs associated with treating water-related illnesses. It also avoids the need to purchase bottled water, which can be expensive and not always accessible to low-income families.

The water treatment equipment was very well received by the inhabitants of La Providencia, Guillermo Gutierrez, a resident of the community, who said:

“For me the most important thing is my people, my town, that they have the project in their hands and that they can save some, so that it can last for much more, and we welcome this, thank you on behalf of my people.”
