Imagine the impact that the donation of a water treatment plant will have on this community, as families will no longer have to fear for their children's health by drinking contaminated water, families will be able to cook with the peace of mind of knowing that their meals are not laden with invisible risks, and children will be able to spend more time at school and playing, instead of fetching water in dangerous or distant places.

But beyond the immediate improvement in quality of life, the donation of this water purifier symbolizes solidarity. It is a reflection of those who choose to look beyond their own needs to support those in need. Elizabeth Jaramillo, an inhabitant of the community gives us these sincere words,

“Thank you because we are going to have clean water, we thank you for this project that you have given us and that has reached this community”.

Everyone, regardless of our situation or location, deserves the essentials, clean water to live in health and dignity. We celebrate the vision of a better future and inspiring more people and communities to act, to share and to build a world where scarcity is not the norm, but the exception.
