San Pedro Apóstol Cacahuatepec Church. The Generosity Behind Partnership Work
The town of Cacahuatepec is one of the communities that were affected by Otis, and because it is one of the farthest away, it has not received any government support to recover from the hurricane's devastation.
Mr. Guadalupe Delgado, a member of the village committee, shares his concern about the difficult access to drinking water, which is why he has shown his solidarity by accompanying the OXFAM Mexico and Water Saves Lives team to install drinking water treatment equipment in the community church so that all the people can obtain quality water.
Guadalupe's testimony makes us reflect on the seriousness of the problem, she comments the following:
“After the arrival of the hurricane that happened, the wells have been dirty, and with this the community is going to benefit, so that we can drink purified water, water that will not make us sick, we are all going to benefit because a purifier had never been put in place, we had never seen this kind of support from the governments”.
These actions show us that sometimes all we need is a little push, as is the case of humanitarian aid, so that people who are in adverse situations and with the will to get ahead, can improve their quality of life.

It is always a pleasure to collaborate with important organizations such asOXFAM Mexico, Citibanamex Fomento Social and Fundación Estafeta, whose work helps us to create a better world.
