Guadalupe Victoria El Canton School. Transforming Lives Drop By Drop
The Guadalupe Victoria school is located in one of the most remote communities in the mountains of Guerrero, its location is difficult to access because it only has a dirt road. This makes it difficult for the inhabitants to have access to basic services such as drinking water.
The reality faced by the inhabitants of the Canton is hard, as they have always had difficulty to have clean water, because they are a community that is dedicated to planting and using fertilizers to eliminate pests from their crops and in every rain these chemicals contaminate the water in their wells, causing various stomach diseases. Hector Bartolo, father of the family shares with us part of his experiences:
“Very good news, because the truth is that we do not have any water purifier, the wells we have here of water, sometimes it is contaminated, because many people use chemicals for planting and they cause us many diseases, and this is a water purifier that will come to change our life for our health”.

We extend special thanks to Water Saves Lives, OXFAM Mexico, Citibanamex Fomento Social and Fundación Estafeta, because thanks to their collaboration it was possible to reach this community. We also want to invite everyone to donate, because this translates into access to clean water and healthier people. Acapulco still needs everyone.
