Texca Health Center. Shortening Distances To Transform Lives

In a place where opportunities are sometimes scarce and access to basic services such as medical care is limited, the health center has become a haven for those in need of care.

The center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of committed professionals who strive to provide comprehensive care to patients. One of the center's main areas of focus is preventive health, so with the aim of avoiding diseases and promoting healthy lifestyles, vaccination campaigns, informative talks and periodic health check-ups are carried out.

In addition, alliances have been established with different actors in society to provide free medicines to those who cannot afford them. This initiative has managed to improve the quality of life of many families who would otherwise find themselves without any kind of support.

Recognizing the importance of health wellness and thanks to the support of the Castillo Family, the center became the site for the installation of a water purification plant. The objective is to provide the community with a safe place where they can obtain clean water to drink free of charge. This is accompanied by campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of hygiene. In this regard, Araceli, the Municipal Commissioner of Texca, gives us the following words

"The water treatment plant will benefit the whole community, on October 24 when Otis arrived it caused a lot of damage to the drinking water service, it is about 3 km of road to reach the community with water, but now the water treatment plant is in the health center which is a central place for everyone"
