Lázaro Cárdenas Elementary School. The Example Of Commitment To The Community

A recent support received by the school after Otis was the donation of a water purifier for the school's facilities. This donation was made in response to the lack of access to drinking water in the community after the hurricane.

The destruction of furniture in general at the school made it impossible to attend classes for several weeks, but with the support of the staff and the families of the students, we worked as a team to restart classes. In addition, there was the problem of lack of water, which affected the students, their families and the school staff. It was then that the Water Saves Lives team took on the task of reaching this institution and, thanks to the donation of the Castillo family, was able to install a water purification system, which has made a significant change in the quality of life of the community.

The staff of the institution was very grateful and Professor Alfonso Lopez gave us the following words

"The hurricane affected the water line, the impact that the water treatment plant will have on the community will be enormous, there will be drinking water so that the children will not be at risk".
