Monsignor Angel Martinez Galeana Shelter And Dining Room. A Promising Future In A Solidary Enclosure
Thanks to Alumbra Innovations Foundation, the Mons Angel Martinez community center has been benefited with the donation of a water purification machine. This place has not only served for years as a community dining room, but also as a shelter and church, becoming a fundamental pillar for those who need help and shelter in their locality.
Located in the heart of downtown Acapulco, this community compound even before Otis had been a safe haven for those struggling to find food, shelter and even spiritual encounter. However, in the wake of the hurricane, lack of access to clean water was an additional challenge they faced.
"We have a shelter and dining hall, we give shelter and food to people... We are very grateful to you, for your altruistic spirit…"
After these words, we can realize that the water treatment plant has provided volunteers and staff with the possibility of preparing food and beverages with quality water, ensuring the health and well-being of those who come to the site. In addition, a system has been established for the distribution of water to families of the community in need, thus extending the impact beyond the walls of this compound.

A special thanks to Alumbra Innovations Foundation, as their donation has helped create a stronger sense of community and demonstrated the transformative power that a simple act of solidarity can have.
