Sacred Heart Of Jesus Parish /Solidarity Becomes Water
In times of emergency, solidarity and mutual aid are essential for the recovery of affected communities. In the aftermath of Otis, the lack of drinking water supply became a primary concern, and Sacred Heart Church became a pillar in providing assistance to people in their time of greatest need.
Located in a coastal area prone to risk, they witnessed the destruction and chaos left in its wake by one of the largest hurricanes in the history of Acapulco and Mexico in general.
In addition to the structural damage to homes and buildings in general, one of the main challenges was the lack of potable water for daily consumption. In response to this situation, the Benavides Family, together with Water Saves Lives, donated a water purification system to help the affected people in the community and the members of the church by providing them with drinking water at no cost.
This solidarity action not only served to guarantee access to water for the affected population, but also generated a sense of community and unity.

Pablo Teixeira, secretary of the parish speaks from the heart and mentions that
"The purification plant is going to help us a lot, because we already have a problem with contaminated water...”. “We thank the people of the initiative who are doing all this work”.
The commitment to help others serves as an inspiration to all those who wish to contribute to the welfare of society. It is through donations that this help is made possible. Let's support in times of need. Keep donating!
