Jesus Messiah Nazarene Chapel. The Union Of Efforts By And For The Community
In the midst of growing concerns about access to water and food, the community dining room in the Jesús Mesías chapel has emerged as a valuable solution to provide an effective response to these problems. This place, managed by people from the community itself, has become a source of support, guaranteeing the well-being of those neighbors in need.
The dining room also seeks to foster an atmosphere of inclusion, support and welcome, as the fact that it is managed by people from the community itself means that the neighbors become key players in its daily operations. They are the ones who cook, serve and distribute the water and food, as well as organize fundraising events and seek all kinds of donations.
Thanks to a donation from Alumbra Innovations Foundation, a water purification system was installed in this chapel-dining room. Through the contact, participation and commitment of the community, it was possible to generate an effective and sustainable solution to promote the well-being of all.
This autonomy and participation of community members not only fosters a greater sense of belonging, but also promotes the creation of bonds and relationships of solidarity among neighbors. The dining room becomes a meeting place where social differences fade away and a collective response to basic needs is provided. Blanca Pioquinto, one of the canteen's volunteers and community leader, expressed her gratitude for the donation and mentioned that.
"There are many people who do not have the resources to buy even bottles of water, this will help us a lot, thank you very much for your support”.

It is important to highlight the work of the people who dedicate their time and effort to the management of these dining halls. Their selfless work and willingness to help are inspiring and demonstrate that change begins with oneself.
