Nuestra Señora De Covadonga Parish. Tradition And Sense Of Community To Support
With small actions we achieve big changes. Within two weeks of Otis' arrival in Acapulco, we were already on the ground making the second donation of a water purifier.
The community of the parish of Nuestra Señora de Covadonga and its parish priest, Marco Galeana, welcomed us to install a water purification system. This parish is located extremely close to Caleta beach, one of the most destroyed beaches as this beach is the beginning of Acapulco bay.
The parish functions as a collection center, community dining room, and every day receives more than 80 families who now, in addition to receiving clothes and food, will receive clean water to drink without fear of contracting any stomach disease.
It is comforting to see the inhabitants optimistic and supporting each other in rebuilding what Otis took from them.

Much of our work in the field is based on creating sustainable communities, supported by a water purification system that is environmentally friendly, easy to use and very durable. Designed for natural disasters such as the one that occurred in Guerrero, it provides ready-to-drink water as fast as 20 liters in 1 min. 30 seconds. According to José Luis Aguilar, in charge of maintenance at the parish,
“Before, we always bought demijohns, which were very expensive”.
Your support is essential to continue doing our work! We invite you to donate, join the change and together we will help Guerrero reborn.
